  CHAPTER III RESEARCH METHODOLOGY Research Design The study utilized quantitative approach particularly descriptive survey method using researcher-made questionnaire to gather the data. Research Environment The study was conducted at Barangay Magdaup, located at Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines. The total population of Barangay Magdaup was 4,115, as of 2018 with a total land area 11,901.308 hectares. Barangay Magdaup was about 6 km away from Ipil Municipal hall. In year 2017 Barangay Magdaup has a total of 132 deliveries based on the home-based mother’s record in the Barangay Health Station. Figure 3.   Significant Social Problem is described as a condition seen and observed around us that disturbed the community especially the most affected one or the key player of the disturbance. Among the social problems, poverty and homelessness are put at the very top according to https://examples.yourdictionary.com/common-examples-of-social-issues.html and these were followed by Climate change, O verpopulation , I migration stress, C ivil rights, r acial discrimination,  ge nder inequality, h ealth care availability, ch ildhood obesity, b ullying, p oor leadership. Why Poverty and homelessness are put at the most top as social issues? It is quoted that Poverty and homelessness are worldwide problems. It's sad to note that according to Habitat for Humanity, one-quarter of the world's population lives in conditions that harm their health and safety. Many do not have shelter, a basic human need for survival. This social issue also goes beyond the 25%.
